The fashion has always go back and fore, we once did, then we said we cant anymore, centuries after, we adopt the same style! If we didnt lose our concept of clothing, bikini wouldn’t be born 63 years ago, if we always follow the same rule of beauty, Causal wear would not exist today, and coco chanel would not be in the history book.

However the question is: now at the 21st century, while no one has doubt of one’s cannot be, how do we continue the current of fashion in order to satisfy all or create a historic change?  The door to the different world is opened, we are absolutely open mind.  The fashion industry has been very active since then, in shortly 30 years many kinds of ideas arrive. On the other hand of freedom, a glass window is created. Whatever we make no longer surprises us, when the world has no more expectation.

In the modern fashion age, many desiners has sacrificed the comfort to create many bizarre style and nasty shoes. So not following the rules is called cutting edge! Some works, some doesn’t.  I told you to step backward, but I didn’t ask you to turn around. To create fashion in order to break the rules is just simply out of the topic.

However during this 100 years, many intercrossing relationship has built, somehow the fact has been upside down. The british was once enemy, then we’ve becomed friends. The friendship is far but close, still a majority of the population had experienced the colonist days. We are not recognised as british, while we hold BNO (britsh nationality overseas), it looks the exactly the same as  British passport, however, they are two different passports having absolutely different definition.

On the other hand, we were used to be chinese, we still are, yet we will never be treated like a 100% chinese. We have our own law, which is different from the one in china. We hold HKSAR (hong kong special administration region) passport, which offer us more flexibility to travel than a chinese passport. Now is only the 12th year of the “50 years unchanged” promised by Deng Xiaoping, however our relationship is carrying out mutation over time.  Having the unlevel developement status over two lands, have broken the one cell into two. I love china, I am proud to be chinese, nevertheless being a “special chinese” I feel being backstabbed. If one day an equalibrium is achieved, we will soon split up again going to the opposite direction.

Our future is in the back of the mountain, under the shadow.

Then I realised it’s true in fact. I was shocked as well. But that’s about it. I guess we will all come to an end of life eventually. It just the matter of HOW?

Wouldn’t you actually think it’s good for Micheal to have a full stop to all these uncontrollable tragedies to his life? If you want to cry about it, I think you should cry before.

If you have listened to his songs, seen his concerts, or read all the gossip articles, can you say “you know Michael Jackson?” Do you know what was in his mind? you and I probably have absolutely no idea. Neither did Micheal himself could figure out what was going on.

Being an entertainer, he did not only devote himself in his performance, he had also devoted his personal life for us.

We all have a dramatic life in our dreams, but once we wake up, the dream is over. We might choose to continue day dreaming, however, it is still a dream. Elsewise, for a person who has enough dramatic story might wise to have a sweet, simple life in dream. Hoping we won’t create more nightmare to wake him up.

Beside all these problematic matters, 2000s is all about self presentation. Thanks to the fashion communisation. How many regional, national, global, online fashion magazines were born in the last 10 years? It is definitely more than double, triple of before, so are the numbers of fashion designer. Ah, have almost forgotten to give credit to INTERNET! It is unbelievable that internet only get popular in the last ten years. Which now we just feel like it comes as natural as brushing our teeth.

Now has arrived a contradictory point; fashion is getting more important, meanwhile it’s getting so not important. More important is because we are more aware of how we look. Just see the booming figures of plastic surgery last year during the economy low point. News is reporting how some people who go bankrupt while they did plastic surgery recently. The fashion magazine keep reporting the latest fashion trend every issue, and people are just wearing whatever they always like wearing. It’s not like the 70’s, who didn’t wear bell-bottomed pants?

That makes me really miss the date while there is some masterpieces to be recorded in the history. I got inspired to write this last night at the Ray-ban Remaster party in Milan. It is re-launching glasses with the shape from the 50s’, 60s’. After half a century, we can still bring this back in fashion. Then another half century later, what else we bring back from now?

Monday morning in Milan usually is incredibly quiet. I had to go to morocco consulate for getting a tourist visit, and sort out a few things in town. If you asked me ” come stai (how are you) ?”… my answer would be ” abbstanza male ( bad enough)…” I am seldom this honest to this type of question, you know.

My phone rang while I was walking down the empty street, no shop was opened. It was my banker, updating me the new situation of HSBC. Across the street there was an old street musician playing accordion. Milanese often consider them as beggars. Just because they are not in fashion? How talent Milan people are, their eyes can actually listen to music. Bravo. I would rather imagine this busker dressed elegantly on a stage admiring the  clap from his audiences when he was young. I got totally distracted by his B flat minor folk song, it lighted my day with a  mystical touch. Felt like I have entered a movie, and that was the background music of the scene.  It’s just read my mind making me more nervous. Constrastly at the pizza bar where I sat down for a light lunch, I was space out with the sound of lazy afternoon  blended with some chatting, chill latin music.

Outside  some trams were passing by,  people shuttling, distant sound from the accordion. Above all, I didn’t pay any penny to download the music. It’s the natural beauty of my ears, allowing me to listen to my surrounding. Can’t really imagine what would it be like for those whose ears are always stuck with ear plugs. Doesn’t it like you mute a heroic movie of a war, and play some hip hop, rnb aside?
