Trick or treat?

In finance market, halloween, I See..., I Think..., Uncategorized on October 31, 2008 at 2:14 am

It’s 31st Oct, it’s Halloween, it is also the month-end rebalancing. SO? Sell bonds to rebalance portfolio–> buying stocks. Stock rise is a must. THEN? Stock goes down again!

Second last day of a month is the index future settlement date in HK, a sudden rise at the end would clear most future traders, warrant players’ pocket.

Once financial crisis starts, the direct impact is on the financial market; Lehman Brother gave the first hit, lenders are affected immediately, then general market is short in liquidity, banks, one after one sent out SOS, followed by investors and enterprises. Short in cash –> collect loan back–> cut expense –> consumption drops –> weak economy –>retail sales drop –> less orders in production –> cut labour, cut salary –> general people has less money –> lost trust in market –> buy less, invest less, withdraw money –> banks + enterprises go further down –> more companies announce profit warning or even go bankrupt

It’s whether trick or treat? It’s be all clear after weekend. I am afraid this is a domino effect in cycle, and America has set it perfectly.

Drug or medicine? world market today

In finance market, I See..., I Think..., Uncategorized on October 29, 2008 at 6:59 pm

Today’s majority of world market rise, from less than 1% up to about 10%. What pill have they taken?

Fed’s cut rate pill? Come on, Fed cuts rate like cut hair, doesn’t it do that every once in a while? Last time many countries announced the saving garentee policy, the market was excited resulting a sharp rise; in USA was recorded the highest rise in one day; and so??? how long did that last?

If you say now the market has hit the buttom, it’s time to buy again.  I wonder if you have heard of the story  “wolf’s coming”?  Personally I did, and I have been using the story to guide myself.

These days no one else can explain why is the rise or drop in market. Maybe too many people have bought put warrant? Right I forgot, the media could never make a comment like this. anyway this is just a random guess only, it’s totally not based on any source of info.

Who know the truth behind wouldn’t tell; who need to explain the reason would say bullshit to fool you around; who don’t know what is going on would guess around.

Indigestion of fashion

In fashion, fashion week, I See..., I Think..., Uncategorized on October 2, 2008 at 5:28 pm

Fast Fashion = high quality of fashion with a long time preparation served in a very quick way, without time allowance for digestion

After these information is filtered by Magazine, you do not even get a 5% of all! Unfortunately, Filtration is a mechanical or physical operation which is used for the separation of the powerful fashion house from all. It does not necessary to be a separation of the best.

Even so, for those who are working in the fashion industry is also a very hard work to digest 100+ shows and events per city, five fashion capitals plus others, in less than a month’s time. This is only about women RTW.

Every fashion week is a factory of design and idea.Thousands of design expose in a week, as soon as one fashion week finishes, another one starts. Not even digestion, you wont even have time to breathe.

” said by Viktor & Rolf, the fashion artists. They dare to say no to fast fashion, their fashion says what they think.

Whenever you are ready to see their new collection, here is your invitation card.

Material Girls

In fashion, finance market, I See..., I Think... on September 23, 2008 at 11:01 am

Under the shadow of the failure of Lehman Bros., and all the consequence from sub-prime mortgage; bank, one follow one announce bad news, everyone is busy rearranging their financial plans. Who? Who still have the mood to look at the LFW?

Fashion is the luxury material matter that exists only when economy is fine, no? Not exactly, even during the Second World War, there were always the fashionista active in the market. Wasn’t the American sport-wear born during that period? Crazy ah? Yes, very indeed. Materialism survives whenever there is human! WE ARE MATERIALISTIC!

London Fashion Week started when Lehman Bros. was hopelessly trying to get a turn over. All the focus was on its deal, expectantly the market would be affected dramatically when it re-opened after weekend. Finally, Lehman filed bankruptcy on Monday, the world was shaken up. Sincerely we’d not needed to be reminded how much we lost. Black, Go away; grey, Go away!! we don’t need you now. Market is dull, fashion is live. We need a pool of colours to distract our pain.
